11/14/2022 0 Comments Asus realtek audio no sound![]() I agree that first gen products are more prone to failure, however, I don't believe something as simple as wanting your audio to work on your 27000 US-dollar laptop is a too demanding request. This is common with every piece of first gen tech as the g14 is the first laptop of it's kind that packs so much performance and thus is likely to have issues as this has not been done before. Making a bootable linux drive is as simple as downloading ubuntu, getting rufus to write it to a usb drive and booting from it. It's a g14 early adopters first gen tech so to be expected. Apparently fate doesn't want me to use PC's, even though I don't want to pay for overpriced Apple Mac products anymore. The first was when I bought an HP Omen desktop and the GPU AND water cooling was dead/defect on arrival. I can't.Īnd yes - I agree that one bad experience shouldn't define your whole view on something but this is the second time in the time span of one year that I try to switch from Mac to PC and everything goes bad. Also, since this is my only computer and I work my full-time job (professional video editing) on this machine, I can't afford the time to send it away a couple of weeks. However, because of the reason stated above, I believe this is a software issue that can't be repaired physically. It is possible that it is something stupid and simple that we are normal windows users aren't thinking of.Ĭontacted them, they told me to send it in so they could have a look at it. Alternativly, do what you would do with a Mac and just get the manufacturer(ASUS) to help you.Īnd please remember, simply because you have a bad experience once, doesn't mean every windows system is going to be a problem. There are so many things it could be and to check them yourself really need to set aside an hour to run a few tests. The USB sound card could be causing issues with windows grabbing the correct drivers for the onboard hardware. You see, using a USB sound card isn't going to help the diagnostics here, it could be that the hardware is defective, or the drivers have an issue. You could try resetting the system, this would then give you a clean slate to see if that sorts the issue out. If audio works in the linux boot then you know it is something to do with either the settings or the drivers. You need to try to work out of the problem is hardware or driver, booting into a linux OS from a USB would be the easiest method. Very strange, isn't it?įirst of all, if this was an apple device and this happened, what would you do? Contact apple most likely, have you shot an email over to ASUS? However, if I select my USB sound card as my audio output in Settings, and launch Spotify, everything in Spotify works perfectly. Thank you for your understanding.Īlso a very interesting discovery: if I selected any of the Realtek(R) devices as my audio output in Settings, and launch Spotify, the whole app just goes crazy and shuffles through all the songs in a playlist in a couple of seconds and then gives me an error message that none of the songs can be played. Please note: I'm completely new to Windows and just switched over from over 15 years of macOS, so please keep that in mind if you are going to explain something complicated. So I've tried uninstalling the software and drivers completely, re-installing them directly from Asus' website and searched for an update (just in case) in both Windows 10's Settings and Asus' ARMORY CRATE and the audio and microphones still doesn't work and I still get the same error message. I then ran the troubleshooter again and got the same error message. I looked for an update in both the Windows 10-update section in Windows 10 settings but also looked for an update in the Asus ARMORY CRATE software, and obviously there was none available since I had just downloaded the latest drivers from Asus' website. Then I downloaded the drivers again from Asus' website under the download section for the Asus G14. I quickly figured out that this had something to do with Realtek(R), probably the drivers, since I ran the troubleshooter and got an error message (see screenshot below, it's in Swedish but it basically translates to): "Audio devices not responding". First I tried updating the drivers (there was no update available) and then uninstalled both the Realtek(R) software/app and all the drivers from the Device Manager under the Sound, video and game controllers-section. However, when using an external USB sound card, everything works perfectly. ![]() Both the built-in speakers, built-in headphone jack, and built-in microphones stopped working. Today, out of nowhere, my audio suddenly stopped working on my Asus G14 laptop (GA401IV-HA112R). ![]() 11/13/2022 0 Comments The big short review![]() ![]() Almost done with school and forced to make important decisions about their future, both Mizore and Nozomi find themselves at a crossroads without a full understanding of the depth of their relationship with one another. The 2018 film is a similarly deep and poetic story of friendship and emotion, with the film following the complicated friendship between two girls who are musicians in high school, Mizore Yoroizuka ( Atsumi Tanezaki) and Nozomi Kasaki ( Nao Tōyama). ![]() The story in 5 Centimeters per Second is very down-to-earth and honest, focusing on Takaki’s realistic journey of growing up and moving on.įrom the director of A Silent Voice, Naoko Yamada, also comes Liz and the Blue Bird. Segment two, “Cosmonaut,” is in 1999, with Takaki attending high school somewhere else and seemingly unable to get over Akari, while segment three, “5 Centimeters per Second,” is set in 2008, depicting one final encounter between Takaki and Akari and what happens after. The first segment, titled “Cherry Blossom,” is set in 1991 through 1994 when Takaki is in elementary school, meeting and falling in love with a girl named Akari Shinohara ( Yoshimi Kondō/ Ayaka Onouei). With 5 Centimeters per Second, which came out in 2007 as Shinkai’s second feature-length film, the story is styled as an anthology, following the same character, a boy named Takaki Tōno voiced by Kenji Mizuhashi, through three important periods in his life. There are actually two more of Makoto Shinkai’s films on this list, as the writer and director manages to create such magnificent - both visually and emotionally - animated stories portraying deeply human experiences that anyone can relate to. Like Your Name, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is a beautiful coming-of-age story with a fantasy/sci-fi twist, and it’s a truly magical film that I recommend to everyone I can. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is written by Satoko Okudera and directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who also directed the Academy Award-nominated film Mirai, which was released in 2018. Makoto then attempts to use her time-leap ability to right her wrongs and fix what’s changed, but she might be too late. But over time, she realizes that her time-leaps have a negative effect on the people around her, and on top of that, she has a limited number of jumps. Knowing little about the ability, Makoto begins to use it often and carelessly, preventing small issues like being late and cooking mistakes. In The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, a 17-year-old girl named Makoto Konno ( Riisa Naka) has a strange experience in school that gives her the ability to “time-leap,” traveling through time. The 2006 film The Girl Who Leapt Through Time has quite a few similarities with Your Name, but both movies also stand on their own as amazing films. RELATED: The 45 Best Animated Movies of the 21st Century (So Far) So if you are looking for anime movies with the same beautiful cinematography and emotional impact, here are seven fantastic movies like Your Name. Of course, that’s a matter of opinion, but if you're here, you probably agree. Your Name connected with a lot of people due to its unique story of love and connection, and it’s generally seen as one of the best anime films, if not films in general, of all time - or at least the 21st century. To make matters worse, her town is about to be destroyed by a meteor, so it’s up to Taki to save her and change history. Unfortunately, Taki’s investigation to find Mitsuha leads to the discovery that the two are not just separated by space, but also by time, as Mitsuha exists three years in the past. Over time, Mitsuha and Taki figure out how to communicate with each other by leaving notes during their body swaps, and soon the two start to get close and develop feelings for one another, attempting to connect in real life. He awakens in Mitsuha's body, and both initially assume it’s a dream. Well, someone is listening, as she wakes up the next day in the body of a real boy named Taki Tachibana ( Ryunosuke Kamiki) who goes to high school in Tokyo. Your Name tells the story of a teenage girl named Mitsuha Miyamizu ( Mone Kamishiraishi) who lives in the rural town of Itomori and feels bored by her day-to-day existence, wishing specifically to be a boy from Tokyo in her next life. The movie was a huge success in Japan, becoming one of the country's highest-grossing films, while also wowing critics worldwide and winning many awards on the festival circuit. Many people, both anime fans and not, have heard of the 2016 film Your Name, written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. ![]() 11/12/2022 0 Comments Windows 8 anytime upgrade![]()
